To follow the Tamil Nadu Online Gaming Authority (TNOGA) Regulations, 2025, Taj Games has made several feature updates for players from Tamil Nadu. These changes are now active and affect registration, gameplay, deposits and how players access the app.
Here’s a simple look at how Taj Games has put each TNOGA guideline into action:
Players from Tamil Nadu must complete KYC (Know Your Customer) during sign-up. This means uploading a valid ID like Aadhaar, Voter ID, or Driving License.
Next, the player must enter their Aadhaar number and verify it using an OTP sent to their Aadhaar-linked phone. The account is activated only after this step.
Existing players will also need to complete this verification before they can deposit or withdraw money.
Disallowing Minors
Taj Games checks the player’s date of birth using the ID uploaded during registration. If the player is under 18, they are not allowed to register or play any games.
TNOGA requires that players from Tamil Nadu see a warning message every 30 minutes after the first hour of play.
Taj Games shows these messages starting at 1 hour and 30 minutes of continuous gameplay.
For example:
“You’ve been playing for over 1 hour 30 minutes. Please take a break and play responsibly.”
This message pops up every 30 minutes after that with updated time.
Also, every time a Tamil Nadu player logs into the app or website, a message appears that says:
“ONLINE GAMING IS ADDICTIVE IN NATURE” along with a reminder to Play Responsibly.
New players from Tamil Nadu are asked to set a daily deposit limit during sign-up. If you're already a player, you'll be asked to set these limits when you try to deposit or withdraw money.
Inside the deposit screen, players can see their daily, weekly and monthly limits and how much they’ve used.
Taj Games follows the TNOGA regulation that does not allow Tamil Nadu players to play games between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM.
If a player tries to play during this time, a message will appear saying:
“BLANK HOURS ACTIVE”
Reminder: Not following TNOGA rules can lead to a fine of ₹5,000 or jail time up to 3 months.
Taj Games is fully compliant with TNOGA 2025. All the features listed above are in place to keep gaming safe, legal and responsible for our players in Tamil Nadu.
These changes apply only to Tamil Nadu players and are already live on the Taj Games app. If you have questions, our support team is happy to help.
